Call me old-fashioned...

I’m what you could call an old soul, though my less tactful friends just say I’m an old lady. A friend of mine once said, “I know you’re secretly 47,” and then went on to point out that the majority of songs on my iPod were made before 1997.Let’s be clear. I’m 20 years old, I love technology and I agree with a lot of liberal politics. I wear bright colors and short skirts and do a number of things that would not have been considered appropriate 30 years ago. I’m young. But here’s the thing: while I keep tabs on what’s going on today, I can’t help but have one foot in the past. I love looking at times before my time and thinking, “what if I’d been around 20, 30, or more years earlier?” There’s so much to learn from the past. Fashion and movies haven’t had a wholly original idea in a long, long time. Where do you think all the good stuff came from?

Welcome to Now and Later…because old is new again *wink*
