Prince Comes to Brooklyn

If you're going to be anywhere in the five boroughs tomorrow, get yourself to Prospect Park Band Shell at 7:30 to witness something beautiful. In honor of the 25th anniversary of Purple Rain, Celebrate Brooklyn is having a screening of the iconic movie that rocketed Prince to superstardom. Without knowing it, I've been waiting for this all my life. Best part? It's a sing-along led by live disco orchestra Escort. The words will be on the screen, but as long as you know the chorus to "When Doves Cry" and can do a little shimmy, you're fine. This is going to be amazing, the perfect way to celebrate one of the crowning achievements of the Artist. Excuse me; I have to go buy purple hotshorts. In the meantime, get more event information here.
