Repeat (1): Together Again by Janet Jackson

Repeat (1) is a "feature" in the vein of my old 99 cents column. These are the songs that are stuck in my head and worth the 99 cents from iTunes

I watched Janet Jackson's performance at the American Music Awards and I have to say, I wasn't terribly impressed. I love, love, love Janet Jackson, but she seems a little tired. I'd like to believe it was just a bad night; Janet's still got it. Here's the video:

She got through a lot of her big hits [though Rhythm Nation was conspicuously absent]. When she got to the end, though, I remembered how much I loved "Together Again" from The Velvet Rope album. It's very 90s, very gay club, a la Crystal Waters. I think she ended with that song as a tribute to her brother. Since then, I've had that song stuck in my head.

Beautiful Janet in a beautiful video, during her all around the world phase. Enjoy!
