Thursday Thirteen: 13 Classic Christmas Songs

I've been under exams and papers. I'm nowhere near done but I did want to post, seeing as how I've put up next to nothing this month.

I stumbled across Thursday 13 a meme where every Thursday you make a list. Sounds simple enough.

Even finals aren't enough to kill my spirit, and for my first Thursday 13, I'd celebrating 13 classic Christmas songs.

1. Christmas Time All Over the World, Sammy Davis, Jr.

2. Santa Baby, Eartha Kitt, 1954

3. Christmas Island, The Andrews Sisters, 1946

4. Christmas in Hollis, Run DMC

5. Santa Claus is Coming Town, Jackson 5

6. Greensleeves, Vince Guaraldi

7. Little Drummer Boy/Silent Night, Jimi Hendrix

8. You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch, Thurl Ravenscroft

9. Jingle Bells, Count Basie

10. Merry Christmas, Baby, Chuck Berry

11. Silent Night, The Temptations

12. Baby, It's Cold Outside, Dean Martin

[not exactly Christmas, but a snuggly winter feel anyway]

13. Domenick the Donkey, Lou Monte

Enjoy the season! I have to write a paper on early 20th century American novels...

  1. That's a great list because it doesn't just include the usual holiday songs played on the radio during this time of year. Good luck with your paper!

Thanks so much for your comments!
