Tonight on PBS: Louisa May Alcott Was Cool

Louisa May Alcott led a scandalous life for a young woman in 19th-century Massachusetts. It's all in the movie based on the book about her life Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind 'Little Women". She was a great rag to riches story and wrote a bunch of pulp fiction novels under the pseudonym A.M. Barnard! And you thought it was all tea parties and geography lessons. I absolutely loved her books. I read Little Women, Little Men, and Jo's Boys back to back, then went digging in the library for Eight Cousins but didn't like that one as much. Tomboyish Jo was my favorite character, as I was still climbing trees and catching frogs when I started reading her books.

I won't be home tonight to watch it at 9pm, but hopefully I'll catch it another time. Here's a great clip:

  1. I plan on watching it tonight - I read a review of it, and it sounds really interesting.

I'm so sorry if I offended you with that ad that I included in my post today. Swear to God - I was only looking at ads with pipes, and didn't even pay attention to the whole context. I'm going to find another ad to swap it out.

Love the new header and the purple theme.
