Everybody, Everywear: Lace (if you squint)

I'm getting my Everybody, Everywear post up quite late (hell, I've got myself up quite late, but I completely lose track of time in the face of a live salsa band) and with a crappy photo as well, but I wanted to add it anyway.

Lace | Everybody, Everywear
This month's challenge is lace. I love clothes that make me feel feminine and dainty but sometimes lace makes me feel like a doilie. Unless it's black lace, which runs the risk of making me feel like a whore but that's a risk I'm willing to take. This is one of my very favorite dresses of summer, a Jack by BB Dakota number with a crochet lace trim. It's very peasant-y and has a vintage feel in terms of shape and detail. This yellow is so citrusy and refreshing!
This photo was taken on Mother's Day at the base of the Statue of Liberty. It's blurry because I foolishly  trusted my 7-year-old cousin with my camera. Serves me right.

  1. Girl, this post made me laugh. But I completely understand about the lace. The dress is incredibly cute.

Hope you have a great week.
