Retrofit: Last of Indian Summer

It's actually cold now. As in, I might be wearing a wool dress this week. But a few weeks ago, we were having a real, live Indian summer. It was 80 degrees in October and even though I was getting over a nasty cold, I was determined to get the hell out of my house and not waste the sunshine.

I've never officially debuted my sailor dress so I squeezed it in on the very last day it was probably acceptable to do so.

What better way to celebrate the day than with a ridiculous face?
We stopped by the Tea Lounge in Park Slope. Nothing like some peppermint tea in an adorable, tiny pot!

I've been meaning to post about my bracelet for ages but have never gotten a decent photo. I'm so in love with this Lucite Mah jong tile bracelet I bought from mybooms on Etsy. It's from the late 40s, early 50s and never fails to cheer me up. The seller was very sweet and even though she was shipping to me from London, it got here so fast.

So I suppose this is my official, long overdue farewell to summer. Good thing I have plenty of fall sweaters!

  1. Oooh I love the dress! I use to browse for cute items and kinda forgot about it, thanks for the reminder! I'd like to have a mah jong bracelet, it'd really give me something to play with when I'm bored too lol.

Thanks so much for your comments!
