Merry Christmas, Indeed

I had a lovely Christmas with family with the usual eating, drinking, and napping. Christmas Eve, we went to my Aunty Carolyn's house. We gather around the tree to sing carols as she honors her husband's Danish traditions and lights real candles on her real tree.

From what I understand, there's only been one minor fire in the 25 or so years they've done this party. I wore what was essentially a fancier version of one of my "uniforms" for work.
Cardigan - Nordstrom
Belt - Buffalo Exchange
Skirt - H&M
Pretty Polly 10 denier tights from Peek Brooklyn
Satin peep toe pumps - DSW (for about $20!)

Christmas morning, I enjoyed a great big brunch with my family. My mom sets a beautiful table. How darling are these napkins

and matching glasses?

We then opened presents and my mom was quite pleased with these little angels I bought for her at the delightful antique store Yanatiba near my home in Brooklyn.

I jazzed up one of my favorite vintage skirts with a pair of fishnets and the same satin pumps from the previous night for Christmas dinner. I got lots of compliments on my fishnets. Funnily enough, it's been ages since I've worn them with heels. I tend to wear my fishnets with my saddle shoes or black oxfords.

Hope everyone had a joyful Christmas (or a nice weekend, if you don't celebrate Christmas).
