My friend forwarded this great article from The Morning News. The daughter of a 1960s Playboy secretary interviews her mother about what it was like to work in their ad office in New York, and her answers might surprise you:
Playboy was so exciting: clients, those martini lunches, the stories that came from them. The sexual innuendo was not necessarily a bad thing, nor was actual flirting. Awkward, embarrassing, emotionally painful, or crass approaches were not welcome or allowed by anyone at Playboy, men or women.
