It reminded me how much I love "Footsteps in the Dark" by the Isley Brothers. So while in it's hip-hop reincarnation it was a thugged out ride in your car joint, in it's original life it's just a smooth, deep groove about the tough parts of relationships. The creeping doubts, the fights that keep coming up and driving us nuts. And the keyboards and bass are crazy. I'm hoping that once Ron Isley recovers from the shame of going to jail for tax evasion, he'll go on tour again. I will be first in line to get a ticket.

Music Monday (on Tuesday): Footsteps in the Dark
It's been a little nuts around here, but I wanted to get a Music Monday up because I've had a song stuck in my head for about a week now.
I was watching a VH1 countdown of the greatest hip-hop songs of the 90s, and somewhere near the bottom of the countdown, "It Was a Good Day" came on.
