#Everydayglamour Shabby Apple Giveaway

Phew, what a week! I was planning/celebrating my birthday and barely got around to do anything for fun on the Internets. It can be very hard to blog when you get home when you spend your whole day running a website. And truth be told I was barely home at all last week.
What I did manage to do was to keep alive the birthday tradition I've observed for just about ever: wear something nice on my birthday. I chose the Upper East Side dress from Shabby Apple, which I got a gift card for through a giveaway on the fabulous lingerie blog A Slip of a Girl. It's a simple silhouette in a beautiful color, which is what I tend to look for.

I do think it could use a bit of tailoring in the waist, but that was no reason not to wear it on my birthday. Plus, it gave me a chance to wear a vintage incredible faux pearl wrap bracelet I won in Joanna from Dividing Vintage Moment's giveaway. So many wins! I am such a winner.

  5. I like to make a conscious effort to change up my hair every day. I have a growing-out pixie and I get stuck in a Same Hair rut all too often. By changing my hair accessories or even just my part, it makes it feel a little more special!

  18. Something that makes me feel a little glamorous everyday would be wearing a dress. I work in a creative office, so I am allowed to wear casual dresses.. or more dressed up, it's up to me really. And I would rather be over-dressed at any time, than under-dressed!
