It's going to be a great week, with lots of romantic, naked, fancy things happening for Valentine's Day, starting early in the week. I've added some fun rockabilly stuff, too. And as always, if I've missed something, please let me know in the comments or via email (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Wasabassco Sundays at Bathtub Gin

Can't believe I still haven't been to this show. Medianoche, Nasty Canasta, Evelyn Vinyl, Hazel Honeysuckle and a guest lady strip down at a speakeasy hidden behind a coffee shop. Happens weekly.
Broadway Brassy and the Brass Knuckles

Burlesque, comedy and amazing singing from Broadway Brassy, "the Golden Throat of Burlesque". She puts on a great show. Happens weekly.

Let the loving start at the beginning of the week! Free swing dance class by Brooklyn Swings.
Sin Pretty: An Excelsior Burlesque Tribute to Frank Miller
Parskide Lounge, 317 East Houston Street, 9pm, $10
For comic nerds and stuff, and people who've seen Sin City. I dunno. This is not my wheelhouse but Evelyn Vinyl and the other ladies taking the stage are good performers.
The Bloodshots at Hill Country Barbecue
Hill Country Barbecue, 345 Adams St, Brooklyn, 8pm, no cover
The Bloodshots are a great New York-based rockabilly group, with a frontwoman who sings and plays the hell out of her bass. Also, I've been to Hill Country Chicken in the city so I imagine the food will be incredible.
Susquehanna Industrial Tool & Die Co. Plays Love Songs
Rodeo Bar and Grill, 375 Third Avenue, 9pm, no cover
This is an ugly bar/restaurant but they get a lot of wonderful rockabilly acts here. This is one of them. And playing love songs, too!
Spanking the Lower East Side
Nurse Bettie, 106 Norfolk Street, 10pm, no cover
Calamity Chang produces a burlesque show in a tiny pinup themed bar. Things tend to get, um, interactive. Happens weekly.
The Wiggle Room Show
The Slipper Room, 167 Orchard Street, Doors, 8:30pm, Show 10pm, $10
I've never seen this show but the Slipper Room is a great venue and they always get really established burlesque performers for their shows. Happens weekly.
Filthy Gorgeous Burlesque Valentine's Day Spectacular
Highline Ballroom, 431 W 14th Street, 7pm, $25 advance, $30 day of the show
Quite a lineup. World Famous BOB hosts Peekaboo Pointe, Broadway Brassy and the Brass Knuckles, Francine "The Lucid Dream" and other burlesque ladies, plus a few boylesque lads.
St. Valentine's Day Stomp
Cafe Talullah, 240 Columbus Ave, 7pm, no cover
Dandy Wellington and His Band put you in the mood for love. Burlesque by Elle Dorado and Anna Evans.
La Vie Parisienne
Downtown Association, 8pm, $50
Nobody does opulent romance quite like Dances of Vice. Parlor games, matchmaking, and single guests are asked to wear a pink rose!
Burlesque at Room 69
Hotel Chantelle, 9:30pm $5
More burlesque at Hotel Chantelle! This show is produced by Calamity Chang. Lots of beautiful, talented ladies but some pretty great boylesque, too! I hear it's incredible. Happens weekly.
Valentine's Late Night
City Winery, 155 Varick Street, $20, $30 VIP package with glass of wine and Jacques Torres chocolates, 11:30
Wasabassco features some of the hottest performers and they push toward the really raunchy. Featuring Marlo Marquise, Evelyn Vinyl, Nasty Canasta, Lily Faye and other stars.
The Plume Revue
Duane Park, 10pm $80 for dinner and show (but just sit at the bar)
Burlesque superstars like Gal Friday and Medianoche (two of my biggest girl crushes, just saying) appear weekly.
The Slipper Room Show
8:30pm Doors, 10pm Show, $15
Burlesque, yes, but also sideshow and variety. Happens weekly.
Gemini and Scorpio Present Meet Me in Paris
RSVP for secret location, 9-10pm cocktail hour, 10pm-1am live acts, 1am-5am dancing & lounging
Dances of Vice isn't the only group taking us to Paris for Valentine's Day. Sexy burlesque from Lily Faye, Edith Piaf songs, photobooth, compatibility tarot readings and more. Dress code: cabaret through the ages. I love that.
Burlesque Gone Riot Presents the (anti)Valentine's Day Riot
Teleportation Arts Studio, 1089 Broadway, Brooklyn, 9pm, $20
Kita St. Cyr presents burlesque and sideshow. Romantic? Not sure. Naked? Definitely.
